What is inside the Serenetree Tree Villa?
The villa has one large bedroom with a king bed and two single day beds, two modern ensuite bathrooms with shower stalls, and a dressing room. Floors are silver oak, walls are panelled in neem wood. A jackfruit tree grows through one of the bathrooms.
The wrap-around verandah is the room people actually use: planter's chairs, the plantation dropping away below, and the Giant Malabar Squirrel turning up often enough to be expected.
How is the villa reached?
The villa is reached by a staircase with a handrail, not a ladder. It sits apart from the main cluster, a few minutes' walk from the dining hall and the swimming pool.

The Serenetree sleeps four and is the larger of the two tree houses at Tranquil, built for families rather than couples. It takes four adults, or three adults and one child aged 5 to 12, or two adults and two children aged 5 to 12.
The Tranquilitree Tree House, at 600 sq ft, is the couples' tree house and does not accept children under 7.

Ten walking trails are mapped across the 400-acre estate, starting a few minutes from the villa. Over 130 bird species have been recorded on the property, and Malabar pied hornbills and laughing thrushes move through the canopy at this height.
